Abstract

The academic form currently used in modern society is a writing habit solidified by Newtonian physics and Cartesian rationalism. In our ecologically minded age, there should also be an academic form adapted to the present times, which has academic concepts, insights, experiences, discourses and styles different from a previously physics focused era, that is, a postmodern academic discourse. I would like to propose a new style of“green academic discourse”, in which narrative and storytelling are also utilized as a kind of “research discourse”, or “academic discourse”, or to be more specific a“pertinent", "sharp” and “moving” academic discourse. This discourse is the “common writing strategy”of ecological critics and is closer itself to the object of study. It can also be said that it is a postmodern academic discourse.
