Abstract

Abstract:Emerging in the postmodern context, ecological aesthetics is closely associated with the deteriorating human environment caused by worsening pollution and nuclear threats, prompting greater ecological awareness.Such awareness is needed to shif the aesthetic preoccupations of this new age, diversify literary criticism, strengthen the ecological literature and build on the traditional ecological intelligence of our nation.Essential issues in the field of ecological aesthetics include the need to conceptualise the discipline properly, treat the 'redemonizing world' appropriately, and frame a reasonable attitude to modernity, science, technology and their relationship to practical aesthetics.?The new field of ecological aesthetics in China is being explored in academic research, both in its narrow sense and as it is understood more broadly. The narrow view of ecological aesthetics focuses on the ecological and aesthetic relationships between humans and their natural environment. These are categorised quite specifically.
