From 24 to 25 June 2017, The International Symposium of Visual Cul-ture, New Media and Contemporary Art(co-sponsored by the Art Institute of the U-niversity of Kassel, Research Center for Critical theory of Shanghai University,andJournal of Shanghai University, Social Science Edition), was held at Shanghai Uni-versity. More than 20 experts and scholars from Germany, America, Canada, SouthAfrica, Ireland and China, attended the symposium. During this seminar, these ex-perts and scholars from China and abroad expressed their multiple views.
