Abstract:Professor Huang Mingfen's new book Narratology on Location: Artistic Creativity in the Mobile Interactive Times is related to the layout of space in narration. The concept of “narratology on location”is significant to the study on narratology, unfolding a new research field in narratology with categorized conditions, enlightened concepts, and new perspectives in narration practice characterized by spatial exploration in mobile interactive time.Against the background of “mediatization," media (especially new media) has brought various changes and endless possibility. The framework of this book fully embodies the author's originality. A complete theoretical system is built up through his continuous and reasonable deduction on different levels.It is Professor Huang's academic intention to focus on systematization and fulfill his theory. I cannot help but admire his rigorous academic temperament.
