Chinese ecocriticism has stayed in the period of directly speaking for the world without self-reflection on its basis.It is of great significance to make a reflective study on the legality of Chinese ecocriticism.We can find out the evolution of Chinese ecocriticism from “ecological holism” to "the view of ecological holism” while studying the history of thought. "Speaking for the environment" has brought about the paradox between “anthropocentric” and “egalitarianism”, which leads to the crisis oflegality of Chinese ecocriticism. As a result,Chinese ecocritics should abandon the grand narrative and follow the “decentration” so as to realize the integration of Chnese and western, and then they are likely to succeed in overcoming the crisis of legality.
