Research on the Influencing Factors of Social Education Effectiveness in Textile and Apparel Industry Museums: A Case Study of the China National Silk Museum

As museums become increasingly important venues for social education, the factors influencing their effectiveness in this domain are receiving growing attention. This empirical study utilizes questionnaire survey data from visitors to the China National Silk Museum and employs an OLS (ordinary least squares) model for analysis. The results indicate that the museum's exhibition hall layout, the number of high-quality collections, and the satisfaction level with collection displays and interpretation services all have significant positive impacts on the museum's overall social education effectiveness, emotional impact, and behavioral outcomes. Furthermore, when visitors are segmented, differences emerge among students in relevant fields, professionals from related industries, silk culture enthusiasts, and general visitors in terms of overall social education effectiveness, cognitive outcomes, emotional impact, and behavioral outcomes.
