Urban literature has been one of the hot topics in the circle of liter-ature study in recent years. It has drawn wide attention based upon its personalized writing and its focus on reality and life. This article firstly discusses the unique status of cities in literature production from the view of values, then explains and explores the anxiety narra-tive, enlightening reason, aesthetic modernity and cultural space, etc. Besides, it delivers insights into the problems and developments of China’s current urban literature.
